Streaming Website TheTVKing Is Royal B2B Success

Video streaming link sites are one of the hottest commodities around, due in part to just this new phenomenon of outstanding content. Making a TV website can have rewards and bring recognition, as one entrepreneur of a TV website discovered recently.  Chris Ramsden, a British trep, put together an online site which can now reap business rewards, as well as at least one prize.

The third place winner of the recent Yorkshire Graduate Entrepreneurship Awards , Chris Ramsden, did it  with a TV based website.  Ramsden, a UK student entrepreneur, developed a website of links and content based around TV shows.

“Chris impressed the judging panel with strong knowledge of his market and the drive to really grow his business.”  Knowing your market is one way to B2B success. These remarks can also come in handy when treps are looking for new investors.

The Web is far from dead and many new websites and ideas are born each year. Tapping into the power of the World Wide Web paid off for this trep and can for many more. Positive press and peer recognition is never a bad thing.  Sponsored contests like this one can give birth to new business enterprises. This shows that the market for business, and recognition for same, is constant. The continuing opportunities of the Internet exists for wily treps looking to make their mark in the business world even without bricks and mortar.

Ramsden commented on his business strategy using his “the TVKIng.com”  website.  “TheTVKing was not initially developed as a business but as a hobby to help me find legal TV links online and primarily as a platform for me to develop my web development skills while studying at the University of Huddersfield.   While studying software engineering, it became apparent to me that setting any business where I could utilise my technical skills to reach a huge market with limited funds meant I had to set-up online.”

Ramsden certainly knew his customer. There is literally more quality content being broadcast or cabled into the American and UK household than anyone can watch. More than any one viewer can watch or extract from their viewing machine. But even TiVo and Sidereel can’t keep up with the volume happening online and on the networks now. Sponsors looking for those demographics need websites which function properly for their own advertising needs.

Smart treps like Ramsden find a niche that is not being completely or capably serviced in the classic business scenario. “The target market is people aged 18-50 who love TV are fairly confident online, who are looking to watch TV online and have some disposable income to spend on premium on TV content.” This is good business sense for the B2B model as well. Startup enterprises like TheTVKing.com can function as springboards for marketing campaigns and surveys. They are Facebook friendly and respond well to twitter and social network activity.

Marketing is the next step.  Doing business using a local model is another key trend tapped. Says Ramsden, ” Currently I do a small amount of networking in the local area and I discuss the concept of TheTVKing and the business as a whole.” Smart treps can follow Ramsden’s lead in developing websites as well-positioned B2B businesses looking forward.
